This month we’re excited to bring you the biggest Peter Pan Op Shop Sale yet – a four-day celebration of sustainable fashion, iconic design and the joy of giving back. You’ll also meet Michele, one of our incredible foster carers, who shares her heartfelt journey of opening her home to children in need of safety and stability.
We’re shining a light on the impact of poverty on children and inviting you to be part of the change. Plus, take a look inside our National Reconciliation Week at Head Office, learn how a simple act like a gift in your Will can create lasting impact, and register your interest for a once-in-a-lifetime charity trek.
This year’s Peter Pan Op shop sale is bigger than ever!
Bringing legacy, design and sustainability together. A celebration of timeless fashion and the craftsmanship that makes high-quality design endure through generations.
Join us across four days for this free-entry clothing sale, and support not only the circular fashion economy but children, young people and their families.
Thursday, 24th July - Sunday, 27th July at 410 Oxford Street, Paddington, NSW.
A child doesn't choose poverty - but you can choose to change their life.
With today's cost-of-living crisis affecting many - we are seeking to raise public awareness about the impact of poverty on children and the different forms it can take.
We encourage everyone to think about what change they can make to help reduce the effects poverty has on children’s lives.
What would you change for a child experiencing poverty?
For National Reconciliation Week, Barnardos Australia Head Office was filled with powerful moments.
We had a week full of activities to acknowledge the impact of the Stolen Generations, learn from our history and explore how we support children and families to remain safe, strong and connected. We also changed our email signatures to display one of our staff, Shannon Smith's, beautiful artwork.
Are you interested in embarking on a once-in-a-lifetime trekking adventure?
We want to get a group of 12 like-minded people together to take on a hiking challenge and raise money to create a bright future for children, young people and families in need.
To help us plan, we are taking expressions of interest until 30 June. Check out the three incredible hike options we would like to run and express your interest here.
Did you know that we are proud to be part of Allies for Children? It’s a collaborative alliance of non-government organisations working together to create brighter futures for children and families in Australia.
By being part of this alliance, we’re amplifying our voices and actions to make an even bigger impact as we call for change and empower every child in Australia to reach their potential.
Become a Barnardos Buddy today and be a champion for children every day of the year!
At Barnardos, the vital work we do with children, young people and their families is only made possible thanks to the generous donations we receive from our supporters. If you feel inspired by these stories, you can become a Barnardos Buddy by making a recurring gift. With your ongoing gift, children in need can receive the care and support to help them thrive.
