We’re delighted to announce our new two-year A brighter Barnardos Strategic Directions 2025-26.
This not only responds to the challenges that children and families are currently facing but outlines how Barnardos will be responding to the challenges that charities are facing, to future-proof our important work. With input from all over the organisation, it incorporates a variety of insights and wisdom. Read more about what we’re doing.
Simone and Louise understand the importance of being there for children who ‘aren’t always presented with the same life chances.’
They are incredible carers, looking after children who need their support, whether it be for a few months or a year. They pride themselves on being there for children who need them, and we couldn't be more grateful.
Our wish for the new school year is that every child has a positive year
We understand as children start the new school year, there can be more stress for families than excitement. With rising cost of living pressures, many children will go without necessary school equipment.
We urge more discussions about family budgets and the cost of living, and the impact poverty can have on children, and we are asking for commitment from all levels of Australian government.
We celebrated our incredible rainbow Families for the 10th time at the Mardi Gras Fair Day at Victoria Park, Camperdown.
For a decade we have celebrated joy, love and community. We're so proud of the passion and dedication our rainbow families and staff have shown in building a brighter future for Aussie kids in need.
Become a Barnardos Buddy today and be a champion for children every day of the year!
At Barnardos, the vital work we do with children, young people and their families is only made possible thanks to the generous donations we receive from our supporters.
